Jesse Palmer compares Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman to Taylor Swift

Jesse Palmer is not surprised by Marcus FreemanThat’s extra camera time.

During an interview about his partnership with Great Clips, Us every week I couldn’t help but ask Bachelor college football broadcaster and analyst, 46, about the social media chatter surrounding Freeman’s good looks every time Notre Dame plays a game.

“First of all, I agree. Marcus Freeman is very handsome,” Palmer said. We. “Speaking of good genetics, he was also a great football player – for Ohio State University, I might add – before coaching at Notre Dame. He is the total package. He’s not just a great coach. He also happens to be extremely handsome on the sidelines.

Palmer speculated, however, that Freeman, 39, “isn’t paying too much attention” to the hype.

“(Or he) doesn’t let it affect his preparation for the big game. He’s a busy guy. He has to have the X’s and O’s ready for game day. He has to make sure his team is in the right headspace. He recruits, he does everything. You are the head coach of Notre Dame. I mean, it has to be one of the most pressure-filled head coaching positions in all of sports and in the world,” Palmer said. “He handles it all extremely well. And yes, there are plenty of pictures of him on the side. Did you notice that? Maybe more than the normal head coach. I mean, Ryan Day should get his fair share too. He has a great beard. He looks good too, but I mean, look, it’s like I watch the Kansas City Chiefs play with Taylor Swift in the box. You have to throw a lot of punches this way. You have to take it for the fans at home. If you watch a Notre Dame game, you’ll probably see a lot of Marcus Freeman on the sidelines.

To summarize? “He became the Taylor of college football.”

As NFL viewers know, it’s common to spot Swift when she’s looking at her boyfriend. Travis Kelce, with whom she has been dating since the summer of 2023, during Chiefs games. While the superstar will likely be in KC this weekend, fans will see plenty of Freeman (and Day) when the Fighting Irish take on the Ohio State Buckeyes in the national championship in Atlanta on Monday, January 20.

Palmer, for his part, will be listening — and thinks the Buckeyes will win it all.

“It’s two great defenses going against each other. So I think this game is going to come down to who can make the most explosive plays, and that’s where I think Ohio State has an advantage. Really,” he said. “I think running the ball and throwing the football, I think there are certain weapons, especially at wide receiver, that I think are going to make big differences and Emeka Egbuka And Jeremiah Smith for Ohio State. So I expect the Buckeyes to win. I want to preface that my brother played at Notre Dame, so our family has strong ties to Notre Dame. I’ve already told him my prediction and what I think will happen. So I’ve cleared it up with Billy and I’m allowed to tell you that I think Ohio State is going to win.

“Ever since I was little, my hair has done what it wants. I mean, I can do my hair in five seconds (with) a little pomade. I could do it in the dark. No matter what I do, it’s going to look like this. It’s been like this since I was 6,” Palmer said. “So this may surprise a lot of people, but it’s actually very, very low maintenance for me. Although the haircut is key, that’s why I love Great Clips because you have to be consistent, right? It’s like when you play football and in your performance a lot of it is talent, but a lot of it depends on what you put on on game day and a great haircut, genetics and ointment. Boom. I’m ready.”
