Fabric straps are comfortable and moisture-wicking, but they trap moisture and aren’t very formal. Silicone bands are durable and waterproof, but they trap sweat. I have sensitive skin and I have to wash the silicone bands and let my wrist breathe every now and then if I don’t want to get breakouts. Leather, on the other hand, is durable. It is comfortable to wear and breathable, and it will fit your skin. In my opinion, it also looks much more elegant and professional than fabric or silicone.
Bluebonnet is a small company based in Texas that makes full-grain calfskin Apple Watch bands. I was very impressed with the thickness of the leather and the build quality of the inserts and buckle on the Apple Watch (whether the metal parts are silver or stainless steel varies depending on the color of the band ). It fits my 41mm Series 7 perfectly. But if you have a smaller wrist, you’ll probably need to drill an extra hole or two in the bracelet. Avoid the temptation to use a knife. Either you a leather hole punch or take it to a store.
★ Alternative: If you are an enthusiast, Apple has its own Hermès collaborations which I do not own. However, I’ve played with the Single Tour band for Apple Watch at Apple events and they look beautiful and turn your Series 10 into a dress watch, if you’re the type of person who cares about watch etiquette.
Quince is a direct-to-consumer company that claims to offer luxury essentials at an affordable price. The leather on his Apple Watch band ($30) is stiffer and thinner, the color isn’t as vibrant, and the material is weird. I don’t know why the loop has an extra loop on top. However, it comes in two different sizes and the small size fits my Watch SE well. If you want a cheaper option, this one will work for you.
