Naomi Watts was three, even four times a woman, as demonstrated by the multiple rapid wardrobe changes during her trips to New York to promote her book, Dare I say: everything I wish I knew about menopausewhen it releases on Tuesday, January 21.

Styled by Jeanne WilliamsWatts, 56, dressed the part by championing a sense of powerful femininity with her fashion.

While appearing on NBC Todaythe actress wore a curly tweed collared dress from Emilia Wickstead’s Resort 2025 collection which, as the designer said Vogue Runway in November 2024, is inspired by memories of her mother’s wardrobe, but with more contemporary shapes.

Watts leaned into this idea with Loewe slingback Mary Jane pumps featuring a modern sculptural block heel, oversized Balenciaga sunglasses, an Oscar de la Renta top-handle bag and a Bea ring Minimalist golden bongiasca.

Talk to the host Savannah GuthrieWatts spoke about breaking the taboo subject of menopause. The actress said she was 36 years old and had just finished filming. King Kong and was trying to start a family when she was told she was on the verge of menopause.

“It sent me into panic and I didn’t know what to do,” she said. “I felt very alone, ashamed, like everything was over and that’s another reason why I wanted to write the book because I want people to understand that it’s not the end. There is still a lot of life ahead of us and a lot to do.

Watts’ wardrobe changes were also far from over, as she followed them up with a second, equally feminine ensemble for an appearance in Live with Kelly and Mark. This time, she wore an off-the-shoulder dress from Shushu/Tong. During the segment, co-host Kelly Ripa aptly described Watts’ honest but humorous account of menopause as “required reading” for women everywhere.

Spotted in midtown Manhattan, Watts kept warm in a navy Prada wool coat with gold buttons, a parent leather mini Prada bag and matching pointed-toe Prada pumps. Dana Rebecca hoop earrings with baguette diamonds complete the look.

As Watts arrived at Union Square, Barnes & Noble for a chat with the reporter Laura Brownshe opted for a sleek winter white look consisting of wide-leg silk pants and a matching cardigan with a double-breasted camel-colored Céline overcoat that skimmed her ankles.

She carried another Oscar de la Renta bag, the Ivy, which the luxury fashion house describes as combining sophistication and utility, as well as gold “O” emblems that pay homage to the graceful curvature of the house logo. A fitting choice for Watts, a leading voice in menopause awareness, whose book is as frank and informative as it is funny – a legendary achievement in itself.
