love is blind season 7 alumni Ashley Adionser separated from her husband Tyler Francis after a year of marriage.
“After careful consideration, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” Adionser, 32, said in a statement to People on Tuesday January 21. “While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”
Adionser added that the decision to quit was not easy, but said it was “necessary.”
“This is not a decision I made lightly, but I know it is necessary for my own growth and peace,” she continued. “As this chapter closes, I will always respect the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.
During their season of love is blindairing in October 2024, Adionser and Francis connected – and got engaged – in the pods. After meeting face to face for the first time, Adionser received her engagement ring and the couple went on a getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
After their romantic trip, Adionser and Francis moved together to Washington DC for a “trial marriage.” It was then that Francis revealed that he had fathered several children. According to the military veteran, he donated sperm to a friend who could not have biological children.
“You’ve been running here and there talking about our marriage, but you’ve also been running around talking about how you want to have kids now. And it’s like, ‘Whoa,'” Adionser said in an October 2024 episode. “How could you talk about all that? I just can’t understand this without even considering your past?
Although Adionser was upset that Francis kept this information from her at first, the duo eventually walked down the aisle and said, “I do.” Adionser later revealed that the children’s biological mother had contacted her apologize.
“I will say she wrote to me on Instagram and apologized to me and Tyler. (She) said she was praying for us and she never wanted it to happen like this. She won’t say much on this forum,” she recalled in a November 2024 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “She also wrote to me and told me it was OK if I never wanted to respond and that she knew my world was crazy right now and she never intentionally intended to make me suffer.”
