Turkey stocks are higher at close of trading; BIST 100 up 1.06% By Investing.com



Investing.com – Turkish stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, with gains in , and sectors leading stocks higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the index rose 1.06%, hitting a one-month high.

The best performers of the session on the were Aksa energy production AS (IS:), which rose 4.37% or 1.74 points to trade at 41.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik AS (IS:) added 3.67% or 3.80 points to finish at 107.30 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:) was up 3.62% or 2.30 points at 65.80 in late trading.

The worst performers of the session were Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:), which fell 9.96% or 8.45 points to trade at 76.40 at the close. Selcuk Pharmaceutical Warehouse Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:) fell 3.40% or 2.55 points to end at 72.35 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) was down 3.15% or 5.30 points at 163.00.

On the Istanbul Stock Exchange, rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks by 281 to 273, with 28 ending unchanged.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.30% or 8.41 to $2,767.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, crude oil for March delivery rose 0.07% or 0.05 to settle at $75.88 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0 .08% or 0.06 to trade at $79.35 per barrel.

USD/TRY rose 0.60% to 35.65, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 37.19.

U.S. dollar index futures rose 0.09% to 107.96.
