ICC announces 2024 Women’s T20I Team of the Year; Smriti Mandhana and two other Indian players feature in the prestigious XI



THE International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2024 Highlight star players who have exceeded expectations and delivered back-to-back remarkable performances for their respective national teams.

3 Indians feature in 2024 Women’s T20I Team of the Year

Opener Smriti Mandhana was given a place in the T20I side after his appearance in the ODI team of the year. Deepti Sharma is another Indian player who earned a place in the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2024 for her reliable all-round abilities. Sharma took 30 wickets for his national team and scored 115 runs which came in handy for the team in adverse situations. The 27-year-old has consistently taken wickets in almost every match, with notable performances like 3/13 from 4 overs against Nepal at Dambulla and 3/20 from 4 overs against Pakistan in the Women’s Asian Cupcementing his place on the team.
