During a campaign video for proposed childcare reforms in the United Kingdom, with the participation of the British Foreign Secretary David LamyPosted via Facebook on Friday, January 17, Keoghan, 32, made rare comments about being a father to son Brando, 2, who he shares with his ex-girlfriend Alyson Sandro.

Keoghan’s latest comments come after the star defended himself against online accusations of being a “deadbeat father”. During an interview with “The Louis Theroux Podcast” in September 2024, Keoghan acknowledged insensitive comments that online trolls had recently posted.
“There’s a lot of stuff online. If I didn’t have thick skin and strength, I wouldn’t be sitting here,” Keoghan told the host. During Keoghan’s conversation with Theroux, 54, he said: “People love to use my son as ammunition or whatever. And that kind of brings me to stop, the more attention I’ve gotten lately and the more public I’ve become, the less I’ve posted about my kid, because I don’t think it’s fair to put my child online. And because I’ve reigned in that, people draw a narrative and say, “Absent father, damn, deadbeat father,” and more disgusting things that I wouldn’t even repeat. Just the audacity of some people, man. It makes me sick, makes me furious.
Keoghan and Sandro, a dental nurse and orthodontic therapist, met in early 2021 before ending their relationship in the summer of 2023.
