It’s that time of year when film critics and commentators go wild at the annual Razzies. The funsuck “awards” show takes low-end shots at feature film releases that haven’t caught on with a wide audience. For 2024, it places particular emphasis on Madame Web And Joker: Folie a Deux.
Although neither film set the box office on fire, both have cult potential. Some of us might even agree with Quentin Tarantino’s point of view. Joker 2 it’s actually a bold takedown of his fans and the industry as a whole, who didn’t get the first Joker movie. Lady Gaga’s performance was particularly notable; his character needed more songs, but we have a feeling the cut songs were incorporated into his Prince style. Batman companion album inspired by (Har)Lee Quinn.
Among other more regrettable genre films like that of Eli Roth BorderlandsJennifer Lopez’s Netflix vehicle Atlas, and that of Bill Skarsgård Crow reboot, we will always defend Madame Web. She lost her mother, who died while she was researching spiders in the Amazon, too bad! However, Mufasa: The Lion King deserves anger.
