New Year’s Eve: what recipes for children’s New Year’s Eve?

So that all the children can wait in a fun way, we prepare appetizers dedicated to them and we can also place some famous Christmas cookies on the plates. Appetizing recipes for children

There is no need to make an effort to get children to try foie gras, oysters or white blood sausage – unless they ask for it themselves – because, for the most part, their palates are less inclined to enjoy the foods and flavors typical of the parties. They will have plenty of time to complete their culinary training as they grow… Meanwhile, we adapt the children’s Christmas menu to their tastes. As an appetizer, it’s easy to create a Christmas reindeer with a serving of Laughing Cow. To do this, simply add two mini pretzels to create the antlers and create the animal’s nose with a small cherry tomato. Also extremely simple: the “faces of the cake!” » We animate simple slices of savory pie creating faces. To do this, we use grated carrots for the hair, radishes that are cut to form a mouth, olives for the eyes or even a mustache created with peppers. Vegetable chips can also be welcome.

Another tip, create small colorful toasts shaped like Christmas balls. We grill the round toasts, spread them with cream cheese and decorate with vegetables cut into strips. All that remains is to attach a cube of cucumber to the round of sandwich bread with a toothpick to simulate placing a Christmas ball. To give it a more sophisticated touch, try special glasses for children. Example of an idea, we cook pasta, “semini” or other, in a saucepan with water and a vegetable broth cube, preferably organic. Drain and rinse with cold water. We use quality ready-made Bolognese sauce, or homemade. We heat it, fill the verrines with pasta, pour the sauce on top and sprinkle with grated cheese. It’s ready.

Then place the main dish. There we also develop recipes for the little ones. Why not fill them with roasted chicken wings with mashed sweet potatoes? You can also opt for smoked salmon and potatoes with gravlax sauce, which should be unanimous. For dessert, it would be surprising if the children did not say yes to a good piece of log, however, if we really want to satisfy them with a Christmas menu for children, we could opt for a gingerbread house.
