Low spear, JC Chasez And Chris Kirkpatrick we felt so good grooving to the rhythm of Justin Timberlakethe concert on Monday evening January 20, in a mini’NSync meeting.
Joey Fatonewho is in New York to play Lance in Broadway’s & Julietwas the only one absent from Timberlake’s party Forget Tomorrow World Tour performance.
Bass, 45, captured the moment in a group photo of the four members of the boy band, which he posted on Instagram.
“In honor of Joey’s Broadway debut tonight, we had a date without him,” he wrote in the caption.
Fatone, 47, took the FOMO in stride, responding: “You guys are the nicest, I appreciate it!!!! 😂”
He even posted a photo of him on his Instagram account, crudely Photoshopping himself into the original group photo.
“Thank you Chris for putting me in the photo,” he wrote. “It’s perfect!” I was definitely there in spirit! May the color be with you all! »
Bass also shared a video of the band dancing during the concert via his TikTok channel. In the video, Timberlake, 43, notices the trio and asks them, “Why didn’t you message me?” before continuing his performance.
“Come to think of it, maybe we should have texted Justin before we showed up,” Bass wrote of the video.
While this may not have been the NSync reunion fans were hoping for, the group has a gift for melody and there’s still hope that they can see it through to the end. Fatone told the New York Post in an article published Jan. 17 that the group needed to “have a conversation” about it.
“That’s really what it comes down to. And we hope to do it soon. We keep saying soon, but we’re getting to the point where it’s like we’re giving up the pot,” he said. “Let’s be real.”
Fatone continued, wondering aloud what the reunion would be like.
“Do we want to tour?” Is it just a tour? Is this an album? Is this an EP? Will we do nothing? Like, what exactly are we going to do?
Bass also said Billboard in 2023 that it “never say never» about reunions.
“I still feel bad that there’s no ending, because we didn’t have a last show, we didn’t have a last tour, because we didn’t know it was the last few days,” he explained. “I think we owe it to the fans to give them something at some point. I just hope it’s before I’m 80.
“We all need to be inspired in the moment,” he added. “But I think the world still needs something from “NSync.”
