Travis Kelce is the biggest Swiftie in Kansas City – and he is not afraid tell the world.
Speaking to reporters after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Houston Texans in divisional playoffsKelce, 35, was asked if he felt 10 years younger following his remarkable performance on the field.
“Twenty two, baby,” Kelce responded on Saturday, January 18, referring to his girlfriend. Taylor SwiftIt is Red song of the same name.
Kelce – who scored a touchdown in the game – gave additional insight into his post-match mindset while speaking to Audacy’s 96.5 The fan.
“It felt good to finally get there,” he added. “Man, there’s nothing better than playoff football, especially here at Arrowhead (stadium). The crowd is always electric, but the feeling you get playing with these guys who work all year (is) the most rewarding feeling when you come out on top.
Saturday’s win propels the Chiefs to the AFC championship against either the Baltimore Ravens or the Buffalo Bills. The defending champion will then represent the conference in the 2025 Super Bowl, facing the NFC champion. (The Washington Commanders will play in the NFC game against the Los Angeles Rams or Philadelphia Eagles.)
If the Chiefs manage to win the game Super Bowlthey will become the first NFL team to win three consecutive Lombardi Trophies. Kelce, for his part, isn’t thinking too far into the future just yet.
“I’m focused on the next (game),” Kelce, himself a three-time Super Bowl winner, added to reporters. “You don’t get here and win all these championships (focusing on that). You get here by having the right mentality and being present.
Kelce’s family, including his girlfriend Swift, 35, were in attendance at Saturday’s game. The pop star stunned in head-to-toe Chanel, seated in a private box with her parents, younger brother, Kelce’s parents and the WNBA star Caitlin Clark. The rest of the crew all wore Chiefs branded gear.
Swift and Kelce have been together since 2023, shortly before she started attending his Chiefs games.
“Taylor and I are happy and I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and comfort off the field and all the support I could ask for in the stadium,” Kelce said during the Wednesday, January 15, episode. Stephen A. Smith Show. “She loves coming to Arrowhead and going to the games and cheering for me, so I’ve had all the support in the world to continue to pursue these dreams.”
A few days earlier the tight side showed up on the Pat McAfee Showstating that he felt “excited” about the playoffs.
“I feel like I’m 22 again, baby,” he joked at the time, once again referencing Swift’s song of the same name. “Let’s go!”
